Great power converter kits

The first assembled perfectly the first time and works like clockwork, the second due to my initial soldering skills I accidentally tore off a few pads but I just used the wire , which I had to bridge between the connections. One thing I found helpful was to take some tape and fold it into a small square a few times and then just put it between the transformer and the heatsink for the transistor otherwise there will be a spark from the coil to the heatsink could come.
