Make no mistake! All 4 photos were taken in daylight, the light doesn't go through! I first ordered a pair for our son's room in July and they were so great I ordered a second pair for our room. They are thick enough that light cannot penetrate them, but not so heavy that they warp the cornice. The built in grommets make it VERY EASY to open and close the shades while still being heavy enough at the top to stay flush with the stem to keep light out. If you are looking for a REAL blackout curtain that won't break the bank and is available in colors other than black, look no further, at $25 it's a STEAL!
