Don't rush to collect this. Looking at some of the photos of him falling apart makes me laugh. I used a rubber mallet to make sure everything was secure before moving on to the next level and it's very durable. The cross braces are arranged in such a way that the shoes do not fall through. I don't have heels, so I can't comment on that, but sneakers, crocodiles, boots, etc. fit well. I skipped a set of conversation boot crossbars below, but my smaller boots fit fine without me having to do this. I use this in my garage so looks aren't such a big deal. When you put this up in your main living area you understand that it looks cheap but luckily with my 19 pairs of shoes and boots it doesn't feel cheap. For the price this is a great product.
