Want something fragile to hold? No, you need something solid. You want to leave your work or go back and don't have to worry about your phone's security. For this price you get solid construction and a clean finish. As others have pointed out, you need to be careful how you set up your hand. Attempting to bend the arm without securing it to the base will obviously shorten the life of the product. If you need to change the angle of the clip that holds the phone, loosen the nut first. The lever is hard. It should be so. It takes a little effort to get what you want, but nothing over the top. The only person in my family who would disagree with this is my toddler, but given what he's holding, you don't want anything shady here. I would recommend this again and again. Great product that does exactly what it's supposed to do at a great price; everything looks good at the same time Bonus: there is a cloth cover on the clamping levers, on which the table runs.
