MADE IN USA but came with scuffs - read updates

UPDATE 3: Owned for less than a month and only used 4 times. Hasn't been dropped or disassembled. Kept in a pocket in a case along with my cigar cutter. The suitcase has serious defects. See photos. UPDATE 2: Another star lowered to 3. Look at the two photos of the open lighter. One pushes the insert, the other pops it out. Over time, the bet is pushed up. I believe this is because the "click" switch gets stuck on the brass cover when opening and closing. The marks and indentations are visible in the last photo. It bites into the lid and this causes friction to pull it out of the case easily. This results in a rough closing of the lid when it should be smooth. UPDATE: star deducted. There are cutouts where the insert snaps into place, as well as on the case. See image. For the price and brand, the Zippo lighter is a good deal. I bought it with a Zippo butane insert. I don't plan on using the insert that came with it, but I had no choice but to buy it with the case. The soft flame insert was easy to remove. Just up and out. The case itself had a few scuffs. I was a little surprised as this was made in the USA and thought the item would be packaged with the utmost care. Because of this I gave him 3/5 stars for the gift. If you want a beautiful and presentable gift, you'd better not buy this lighter. If looks don't matter then this is a good gift. Inexpensive and well-known brand. A lighter is sure to get scratched rattling in a pocket of keys, so if the recipient doesn't care, it's not a problem. Since this item was for me, I still gave the lighter 5 stars. MADE IN USA was a big reason for my purchase and even with minor issues I still prefer to pay American.
