It works but caused an unexpected problem

This is an update of my original post (see below). The device works as advertised but is interfering with the tire pressure monitoring system on my Ford F150. A few days after I started this, my truck gave a TPMS error code (not a tire warning but a system error). After checking the tire pressure and fixing the problem, everything was fine for a few days, then the code appeared again. Research on Autoblogs and Youtube revealed problems with Ford TPMS and radio interference from audio systems and cell phone chargers. . I stopped using the FM converter and the problem didn't come back for several months. This isn't a Bluetooth issue - I'm using another Bluetooth device with no problems. This is the same Ford problem as the converter. Original post: I was very skeptical about this little tech, but I paid $18 to be able to stream or play MP3s on an AM/FM stereo in my (new to me) 2013 F150 that doesn't come with an AUX Jack fitted was a lot better than paying a few hundred dollars for a new sound system. I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. There are only two downsides: 1. The instructions are quite poor (hence the four star deduction). They are poorly translated from Chinese and quite short. You should play around with this thing for a while to figure out how it works. I was having trouble finding an available FM frequency in my area. I live near the Mexican border and with the two countries competing for available space I have few options. Sometimes a station far down in Monterrey causes interference, but that's not a problem with the device.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Basically okay but...
