Review on Belkin AC1600 Dual Band Gigabit F9K1119 by Eli Saumell

I have never left a review. My little Belkin router finally stopped working after 5 years. I wanted to try another brand so I tried Asus, it looked very fancy with two antennas. I couldn't get it to work with the help of tech support (after an hour of my time). The representative had the gall to suggest I buy a more expensive model. To my surprise, when I plugged the Belkin back in, it worked, hooray! Two months later no internet for TV. Over time, artificial devices break down. That's right! So I went to Wal-Mart. All the different brands seem expensive, so on my first foray I bought the next larger modem instead of the cheapest. From the way the clerk looked at me as I made my choice, I should have known something was wrong. After 90 minutes of tech support (whatever happened with the connection, changed a few settings and I'm online) I started to believe my TV was the problem. After returning the second modem, I returned to the modem division at Wal-Mart. The modem model I bought was separate from the others (he was able to tell me they didn't work). I was planning to get online and try Belkin again, but DAMN the little modem was working again. I couldn't reach HULU last night so this time I called my ISP. One of the times I thought the modem had failed actually failed. Yes, this time he was dead. Received my new Belkin today at a reasonable price. It came with an easy to manage interface, changed a few settings (no tech support calls) and is working now. I'm not sure what other companies sell or why they think a consumer won't return products that don't work. This is stupid and a waste of time and money. The new one doesn't look like an alien from another planet, no dual antennas, but it works. That's all I want
