Review on Sunflower Yellow Polyester Tablecloth - Inspired by Provencal Style by Brian Davis

I bought this beautiful 70 inch round fabric tablecloth for my parents. To me, this material feels more like cotton than 100% polyester that doesn't wrinkle or stain. My parents are WWII German immigrants (who acquired US citizenship in the 1950's). They are very humble and don't buy themselves such good things. They have a small round table in their tiny kitchen where they sit for their meals three times a day -- if you can call a shared box of 39-cent macaroni and cheese a "meal." I can't get them to eat properly, but I've convinced them (after my mom went into rehab for a few months to strengthen her muscles so she can walk again) that they take a protein supplement every day since the muscles need proteins). Your kitchen is a little box with no peninsula or island. The theme of her decor is sunflowers. They used a thin vinyl table top. in a faded motif of a non-flower with white tufts protruding from her tears. It broke my heart. It's a tiny kitchen that's in constant use and my parents deserve some fun. As soon as I removed her torn vinyl covering, I saw that the small table had been clumsily repaired with a piece of unrivaled wood and screws, leaving the surface uneven. I covered the ugly table with this bright yellow, blue and green tablecloth and her eyes lit up with surprise! As if the whole humble kitchen were filled with fresh sunlight! They accepted my gift with love! When I arrived the next day, my father excitedly showed me that he had repaired the table so that it now had a smooth surface. However, my mother covered the tablecloth with a thick plastic cover (to protect it) made from thick plastic used in cement/concrete work which my father must have put in the storage shed. It was cloudy, dirty and out of place. They refuse to eat without a protective coating on beautiful tablecloths. So I got a clear plastic 70 inch round table top for $5 and they love it. Maybe one day they'll be able to enjoy the sheer beauty of something with no signs of wear. Everything changes, everything ends. Let's enjoy every moment of his life. Time.
