This is not a pant lined with Sherpa like thick sheepskin - this is a soft, brushed lining. It's SO SO SOFT. I wore them to my son's last soccer game - 40 degrees Fahrenheit and a steady wind blowing with enough cloud cover. I never felt the wind in these pants (only wore this layer). I was warm and I loved her. I'm so glad I made this investment for the winter - they will be perfect for my winter getaways AND snuggling on the couch. They're a little long and baggy on me - 5'2", but the size Large fits me perfectly (and doesn't cut into my waist as others have noted) - I'm 178 now and have an hourglass shape.
