It is NOT easy to assemble or install - at least not for me. BUT it's easier than the "death ring" and a screwdriver. I'm hoping it stays in place as I couldn't get the "retaining ring" to snap into place. The instructions on the box require a lot of knowledge from the buyer, especially as the item comes partially assembled and needs to be disassembled to fit the hose onto the nozzles. I was imagining something MUCH simpler. I'm not a handyman and I HATE small repairs like this, so if you do this too, you might want to consider laundry ;-) I dried it for a couple of months. Sometimes it flies out of the dryer. The pad doesn't go in the dryer very well and the lint keeps the pad from becoming "sticky" so I'm going to tape it over. The hose is 8 feet long, too long but it works. The best I can say about it is that it's simpler than the old school system and it works, but it's expensive because it's a trade-off with its own problems.
