Review on Optimize Rapid Ammonia and Nitrite Reduction in Freshwater and Saltwater Tanks with Microbe-Lift Nite-Out II Aquarium Cleaner by Meghan Brown

This product was recommended to me by the famous Discus Hans as I received a large order from Discus for a relatively new bicycle aquarium. He said use it to increase biocapacity and use it when the cycle fails. Well I used the pre-order because I wanted maximum performance for my biocarrier. A word of caution, make sure you understand that when bacteria break down ammonia and nitrite they use up your buffer (KH) this warning pops up on the bottle and I knew it. My KH was 3 and within 12 hours of using just 45ml my pH started to drop from 7.6 to 6.6 - I checked my KH again and it was practically zero. This is not a downside - it shows how incredibly quickly this supplement was gaining momentum. I increased the KH by adding baking soda and stabilized the ph - I repeated this process a week later (no fish in the tank - used pure ammonia for the circuit), the same thing happened again, but this time I was prepared and knew it add baking soda. Bottom line: I was able to challenge a 90 gallon tank with 60 yes 60ml of pure ammonia and the reading was zero nitrite and ammonia in 25 hours! This is amazing - I know I have 1 dozen 6 inch diacus and haven't had any spikes in a stable cycle and nitrates even stay low. Can't recommend enough!
