I have an HP G61-631NR laptop. The HP website states that only 4GB of maximum memory is supported. I decided to run "sudo dmidecode -t memory" on Debian Linux, it replied that the laptop can support 8GB. I hopped on to get these ram sticks to try them out. In the worst case, the laptop doesn't see all of the memory and sends it back to Revain as an incorrectly ordered item. The storage works as expected and I am using the laptop they are in to write this. For DDR2-800 they are very responsive. I have put these flash drives through numerous battery tests such as: B. MemTest86+, and they laughed at what I threw at them. Of course I will turn to Komputerbay again if I want to revive some of my old systems. Don't let the not-so-famous name fool you. These are excellent quality products. Buy again.john@phobos:$ sudo dmidecode -t memory# dmidecode 3.0 Get SMBIOS data from sysfs.SMBIOS 2.6.Handle 0x0012, DMI type 16, 15 bytes Physical memory array location: System board or motherboard Usage: Troubleshoot system Memory Type: No Maximum Capacity: 8GB Error Information Handle: No Error Number of Devices: 2Handle 0x0013, DMI Type 17, 28 bytes Memory Device Size: 4096MB Type: DDR2 Speed: 800MHz Manufacturer: Micron Technology Serial Number: 2C00000000000000000000000011010D233C17F Number of Parts: 16HTS51264HY- 800A1Handle 0x0015, DMI type 17, 28 bytes Memory size: 4096 MB Type: DDR2 Speed: 800 MHz Manufacturer: Micron Technology Serial number: 2C00000000000000011010D233C17F Part number: 16HTS51264HY-800A1
