I bought these foam swords so the guests at my son's 6th birthday pirate party could dress up and pretend to be my son's pirate crew. I found these foam swords to be the best and most economical option. Choosing between these and inflatable swords, I read that most inflatable swords arrived damaged, not to mention that I would have to blow up 24 swords for the party guests. Experience has shown that foam swords fall apart after many sword fights; However, they persisted throughout the party. I once bought a very expensive foam sword ($15) in Williamsburg only to have it fall apart at the end of the day due to my son's normal use. They endured hours of swordplay, stuck them in holes in the ground, and frankly everything under the sun while they partied. Some fell apart, but most didn't, and overall it was a great purchase. For less than $1 a sword ($22.99 for 24), a group of 5 and 6 year old boys launch a wild blast!
