Overall this suit was a perfect fit for my Australian and (you can only imagine) 50lb boxer wonder dog. The holes in her ears were slightly further apart than her ears. But she was tolerant of me pulling out her cute little ears so she could wear the hat long enough for a few photos. I doubt the head can stay if I take it as a reward. The length was almost perfect, reaching down to her back and her hind legs almost reaching the ground. The front legs fit her perfectly. The material is very thin, which is very good. I don't want my baby to overheat, especially with her already thick coat that she wears year round. However, the head, tail and glans are made of thicker material and appear to be able to withstand the rigors of use as long as the dog doesn't try to rip them off. The squirrel's tail is quite adorable and very thick, but the back of the suit is only supported by a very thin thin elastic, while the front of the suit is secured with overlapping Velcro straps. Therefore, there is nothing special to keep the tail in the air. The legs, which hang down to the ground on either side, are insufficient to weigh down the tail and prevent it from swinging wildly from side to side. Some spankings are pretty cute, but excessive spanking with a large plush squirrel tail attached to a dog's back can result in the pup teasing the pup enough to attempt to take the large plush object off their back, OR another dog might notice the plush tail pulling back it's tempting. and forward, causing her to jump, grab, and start the fight.
