The LED string runs on 4 AA batteries in a holder that "snaps" into two connectors on the circuit board for connection. The first thing I noticed was that there was no bracket in the round cover to attach the battery. It took several attempts to connect and when the cap is screwed down the battery pack disconnects. I gave up after trying for an hour to get it working properly.
