I use them for floating elements in machine embroidery. These tie pins are a lot easier to work with than straight pins and save me the hassle of having to tape my car with sticky stabilizers or stink my house with sticky spray. They work well for items like towels, but you need to be careful with more delicate items as the needles are quite thick. I started with 12 of these but sometimes I had trouble with the top clasps so I bought this pack of 25. They are good quality and outside of the packaging I haven't had any issues with any of them. The price was right too!
