Review on Samsung Thunderbolt Business Display LF32TU872VNXGO: 4K, ๐Ÿ’ป 3840X2160P, Adjustable Height, Anti-Glare Coating, Flicker-Free with HDMI Port by Mike Griffin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good monitor with a few flaws

The firmware had to be updated via a USB stick instead of a connected device, 9 times out of 10 this failed, which was very annoying. Why not make it so that the monitor's firmware can be updated from a connected device? When the HDR setting is enabled on a 2020 or 2018 Macbook Pro, the display output looks terrible. The monitor required a lot of calibration to get the colors right, as it either looked too saturated or washed out out of the box. I'm guessing it had plenty of USB ports including a Thunderbolt port as well as USB-C. I think if I had used a Windows laptop I might have more experience, but this monitor doesn't work well with Apple laptops. Overall 3.5 stars for the price, if it were a little cheaper I would give 4 stars. The only way to make it a 5 star monitor is to fix the HDR issues and update the firmware. Perhaps after the release of new firmware this will become an excellent option.
