First, a little background. Twenty years ago we were living in a very comfortable house with a family room that easily housed a good sound system. We decided to raise llamas and acquired a farm with a lot of land, many out buildings and a small farmhouse built in 1748. Hello llamas! Good by sound system. It was a good change . added many years to my life. We converted a small room to a TV room with several small bookcase speakers and my old Technics receiver.20 years later we are tired of the wires, clutter and lackluster sound. We have no room for a subwoofer. Enter ZVOX 570. Fits easily on the shelf previously occupied by the Technics (weighs less too) and the cable/DVR and there are only 2 wires (power cord & digital sound output cable from TV). Setup is a amazingly fast and, in most situations, you can quickly and easily set up your remote to incorporate the ZVOX.For it's price the sound from the ZVOX is impressive when presented with good input. Surround sound is simulated (and adjustable). The bass is robust. The unit is attractive and (within limits) you can place your TV on top of it. We have placed the unit on a shelf above the TV. On top of the unit is our cable box/DVR.We have an Ebay ECHO and three DOTS scattered about our home. One of the DOTS is in our TV room and we have connected it to the ZVOX via Bluetooth. The quality of the music can be impressive. Life is good!Our first ZVOX was defective. I went up on the Ebay website and a UPS pickup was quickly arranged for the next day. The replacement was received the following day.A final word on setting up your existing remote. The process is simple in most circumstances. Our remote had been through a number of cable/DVR boxes and other equipment. The setup process was not completely successful until I reprogrammed the remote for our TV.
