Review on Hopkins 43855 Simple Vehicle Wiring by Keith Gonzales

Not Recommended Fits Towbar Accessory

Firstly it didn't fit my car so I had to modify it to make it work. The device I received was not the same as in the photo, the output wires were hardwired. Secondly, after about 2 weeks, a short circuit occurred between the right stop and the turn signal, so that they flashed alternately when the turn signal was switched on. They flashed so faintly you could barely see them and there was a fast turn signal warning on the dash. This device requires a 12V DC power supply to operate. I'm not sure why. Maybe to avoid the possible need for a powerful flasher? The device I replaced it with does not require a constant 12v and works fine.
