Review on Powerful Vornado 683 Medium Pedestal Fan: Maximize Air Circulation in any Room! by Cynthia Romero

Revain's price drop forced me to replace my 12 year old eggshell Vornado dying after summer indulgence with this black model, similar to my original Vornado. I had to buy all new fans for my west-facing apartment in a steel frame building that keeps the heat (or the cold in winter). New England weather lives up to its name for being insane, and this Vornado arrived on an 85-degree day with no wind. It took me 5 minutes to assemble, and within a minute of cranking it up to max power, the cooling and airflow was making me feel like a man again. I even had to cover myself with a light blanket last night when pointed out to me from over 20ft, it was like an air conditioner. The new stand may look cheap compared to my 12 year old disc, but it has the same power. For reference I have 2 Lasko pedestal fans that I gave away as they just don't cool at high speeds. New acquisitions in May 2020 are the 660 Vornado pedestal fan, which perfectly circulates the air in my 700 sqm open living/kitchen area. Feet and chills when you point at me from this distance. This is the 683 Vornado that does the same but loves the height of the base. Those two vornados in the living room are all I need until the air conditioner turns on in my house. You also save money as I don't need the included AC electric convector in most cases as there is enough for cooling. (might have been damaged in transit as the box was thin, torn and taped all over (will be returned if I find a box for it) and a Pelonis 12" desk fan with a grille defect, wobbles, no remote control and reasonably well in the bedroom , but not enough real power.It has some cooling at 5ft max.Both Pelonis fans were for a 500sqft bedroom.3rd Vornado at the price of two Pelonis fans as one Vornado has more cooling capacity and circulation than 3 fans combined Cooling and air, Vornado is the only fan you can buy (except for that tiny Vornado Flippi. Bought one for my bathroom last year and was very disappointed as there really is no cooling or circulation, not even as far as noise goes , both Vornado fans are almost silent and operate at maximum speed Ghost is audible but not gross.
