We were camping in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho, it was 25 degrees at night so we just filled the backpacks with water and left them in the back of our truck, well no good . Let's say the water was frozen and when we needed a drink it was nice and cold water! It also insulates where the water pouch is so it stayed warm and cold all day, it was a 10+ mile hike and we didn't even drink all the water, way more than normal! The storage bags around the litter make it pretty too! Plus all other storage compartments in the back. The only complaint I would have is that the closure which should be placed around your chest sometimes goes up around the neck and should be soft in my opinion! In general, it's much better than our old one.
