I am not going to go into a long and detailed review of this monitor's technology or specs as I have a feeling others are doing and will continue to do so and you should read these reviews for detailed specs. My review is written from the point of view of the average man who uses his monitor for everyday tasks, gaming, entertainment and business and has therefore been looking for a monitor that can handle all of these categories. I think this monitor meets these requirements very well. My use of this monitor is connected to a gaming laptop, but I need a monitor that can display 1440 and can easily switch modes based on usage. I've been using this monitor for several months and have found it to work well. The MSI monitor software advertised by the manufacturer to allow monitor control from Windows requires an additional USB cable connection (included) (if you use a laptop as your main PC, you know that the number of ports is limited). caused some strange and desirable problems. With my laptop, which is 100% MSI owned, once I got the monitor where I wanted it, I uninstalled the MSI monitor management software and the problems went away. I was concerned that the ability to change modes would go away with software removal, but no, it does so automatically when it recognizes different types of users, such as gaming, gestures, and simple typing (Word). I can't say it's the best monitor on the market for any of my stated uses, but I can say it does an excellent job in a variety of uses and doesn't break the bank, I was happy enough with it to put it in Consider getting another one and installing three monitors (two of them and a laptop screen).
