Review on πŸŽ’ Osprey Escapist 25 Daypack: Ultimate Gear for All-Day Adventures by Steve Yatnalkar

Overall great backpack, holds more than I expected

Overall great backpack, holds more than I expected. Bought it for day trips but broke it at Universal Studios. Was able to carry hoodies and foldable jackets for (2) adults and (2) kids along with a bunch of snacks for the day. We used the built in rain cover on a boat trip and it worked great. Even when fully loaded, it was very comfortable on the hips and felt weightless. The ventilated back also helped prevent the inevitable "back sweat" you can get in warmer weather. My only concession is that the shoulder bag on the belt is useless and it would be better if there was nothing at all. It was designed for a smartphone, but definitely not one of the larger smartphones currently on the market. Maybe it would be more useful if it was a stretchy fabric.
