Review on NETGEAR WNR834B 100NAS Wireless N Router by Jeff Robeson

Excellent wireless router. The signal is excellent on all my devices and the speed on my iBook and Intel iMac is excellent. I also have a wireless network printer. It also works great. Setup is easy and for the most part there are no issues. but there is one. I also have several gaming consoles that I've wanted to use it with. Like my old Netgear WGR614, this WNR834M works great with XBOX 360 and Wii. However, unlike the WGR614, it COMPLETELY REFUSES TO WORK WITH THE PLAYSTATION 3. I tried updating the firmware for it to see if that might solve the problem. Houston, we have an OTHER problem. For some reason it doesn't even update. Whine. That's the problem. For a fantastic price you get a fantastic router. provided you are not attempting to use it with a Playstation 3. Also, the fact that it doesn't update (maybe it's just my specific device) deserves some attention. But if it would work with a Playstation, I would be very happy.
