Review on Right-Handed Steel Chipper: Pinemeadow Golf Excel EGI by Aaron Schultz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This club works well for chippers

Ok I literally just finished 9 holes and used this club for the first time today. I was so impressed I had to write a review. I'm in my 50's, I was a pretty good golfer in my 20's and 30's (I usually shoot 80's and 90's over 18) but due to work and family commitments I haven't really played in the last 15 years. Well COVID hit and I decided to play golf again. I've been playing 2-3 times a week since mid-June - mostly 9 holes, sometimes 18. Needless to say, my game was pretty rough. My iron game was back to normal, hitting target, betting well and everywhere with my short game. Started watching a lot of online videos. Rick Shiels and Mr. Short Game proved to be the most helpful of all online people. Mister. The short game is really interesting and helped me A LOT with my drive and delivery. However, he still struggled with those closer in chips. I mean REALLY struggling - I just couldn't feel her. My 60 degree wedge popped straight up or right over the green. One day, Mr. Short Game makes a video about a pine wedge crusher. He just seemed to enjoy playing with it and I decided to go to Revain and look for him. The bat he used was more like a bat. I liked this one better and ordered it. I'm really good at having fun in the backyard and getting naughty with my most important golf partner. I still intended to play my wedge 60. Like I said I had just played 9 holes and used this club on 5 of them. There was nobody on the course behind me so I put a ball next to everyone I needed to hit and tried that stick and 60. I had a really good chip with 60, the other 4 were disappointing and would have cost me an extra stroke . Mind you, I've never trained with this club before. All I knew was that you were swinging it like a club. Every five attempts, from the rough, from the approach to the green, from 15-30 feet, I shot the ball 3 feet from the hole. Wedge but for less than $50 this stick made me smile and made the round so much more enjoyable. To be honest my chipping has been so inconsistent and generally bad lately that I haven't noticed the rest of my game steadily improving. The racquet looks good, feels good and performs well. Get this racket - you will love it!
