The FAQ said these would be fans that plug into an outlet. The seller's description doesn't say anything about it. I took a chance that the answer in the questions and answers was correct. My game didn't pay off. The supplied fans were designed to be connected to the computer's USB port. Shouldn't have tried to send them back. I wanted to give the fan 1 star because I think the seller didn't describe the product properly. However, I found an old USB hub we had in another room that we weren't currently using and was able to use it to power a fan, which is why they got 2 stars - it wasn't what I was expecting. but I managed to get it working with some additional stuff I had to provide. As for durability, time will tell. They have been working fine for the last 10 minutes. Maybe they last years, maybe just days. I don't expect them to last forever considering they are relatively cheap. On the plus side, these are very small fans, which is what I was looking for. So if they last a while I'm happy. However, since, as previously mentioned, I felt the description of the item was incorrect at worst, or incomplete at best, I'm sticking with my 2-star rating.
