The volume decreases spontaneously from time to time

From time to time I hear a beep and a series of clicks telling me that the volume is decreasing. I can stop it by holding the right earcup's touchpad and twisting it back, but it's frustrating. However, it's not as frustrating as my first delivery, where the right touchpad didn't work at all.
