Item not as shown. I was happy to find this replacement part so cheap after finally finding a latch that matched mine. As soon as it arrived I discovered it was a regular fastener, intended for several different dishwashers and not the one pictured. The latch was almost half the weight of the original latch and was made of "cheap" plastic. The original latch was held in place with 2 pins and a pull tab. This latch had no pins, and the oversized tab was nearly twice the size of the slot it was meant to fit. I decided to enlarge the slot when I noticed that the tongue was not only too big but also misaligned. Went ahead and just attached the latch with 2 screws hoping it would hold the latch in place. The original latch had a locking mechanism, this replacement just locked the latch (imagine a screen door that latches instead of just slamming shut). Since the door no longer locks, there is a noticeable wobble when the door is closed. I ran a test cycle in the washing machine to check for leaks and indeed there was a small leak, a puddle of just over a quarter. The dishwasher is also MUCH noisier when it's running because the door isn't tightly closed. Save yourself the headache and skip this paragraph. I tried to save money and got burned. By the time I've saved enough money for a decent latch to replace that junk on my old washing machine, I might have just put down a down payment on a brand new washing machine.
