Not suitable for dimming headlights

Purchased November 20th, stops working June 21st. I never stopped the headlights from dimming but it worked fine until it started smelling like burning, now it doesn't hold a charge and turns off after 3 minutes. Very disappointed I now have to upgrade to a better brand and of course that is out of return policy.
