We bought one of these collars for our then 2 year old cat on 6th September 2017. This first collar was branded Safe Cat and had an old design. We loved it about her, but she used to be wild and wasn't keen on it. She kept scratching him. Since we liked it so much and it was starting to wear out, we ordered 2 more on 06/18/2018. When we received them they were Coastal branded and the design had changed but we didn't care. Two days ago, while stroking her, I noticed that she didn't come off. These collars must be safety collars! My husband also tried to take it off and couldn't. We had to cut it off her! If we weren't home and she got caught somewhere, she could choke! DO NOT BUY THESE COLLARS! The original Safe Cat collars were great and worked perfectly, but since they've been renamed Coastal and redesigned, they're a DANGER TO YOUR CAT! This is our opinion based on experience with this improved product! We'll destroy and throw away the new one we still have. The photo shows that the clasp is not damaged or nicked. We believe this is due to a design flaw.
