I don't normally use plastic decorations on my Christmas tree. Over the years I have collected vintage Shiny Brite jewelry as well as other beautiful glass beads. But NOW we have two cats and while the tree hasn't grown yet, I'm concerned that they might want to "mess with the tree" (they seem to empathize with everything else!). I bought them to put on the lower branches. tree where cats are more likely to reach them. I hope they don't decide to climb the tree my good glass ornaments will hang from! Anyway, they arrived quickly and considering they're plastic they don't look too bad and to be honest, from a distance or especially after hanging them on a tree I don't think they do will be very different from the newer glass bowls you see in stores today. I checked out the plastic balls in the store and they weren't as pretty as these, so I'm glad I made this purchase.
