I needed a piece of equipment to measure a small oval door where I was planning to build two doors for an attached barn. It was more difficult to work in the vertical than in the plane. The pins continued to slide down. I realized that it takes a tiny allen wrench to tighten these pins. Unfortunately the cardboard case for the pressure gauge was torn and the key must have fallen out so I had to make a trip to the hardware store to buy a replacement. Even after tightening the pins, the measurement was not easy. I would recommend that the level be built into the ruler that holds the pens.
