I'm not giving 2 stars for power or lighting issues but for the horrible way the physical installation is done. The good news is this is 2 stars not 1 as the installation of this lamp is better than anything else. From the descriptions given here you know that there will be a gap of about 2.5 cm between the ceiling and the lamp disc. Within that 1" gap, 2" there are slots for inserting the screws and places where you will tighten the screws. This area is completely blind - meaning even if you can lean your head against the ceiling you can't look into this cavity to line up the slot and tighten the screws. Remember that you're also lighting the space that needs lighting, so work in that gap in the dark. I had to use a mirror and prayer, but it didn't work as planned. I ended up removing the two retaining screws and just using two screws to press them into the slots. This lamp is so light that it could be fixed with two screws. I've been lucky. When I tried to tighten the screws, the same blind problem came up again because you couldn't see the head of the screw to attach the screwdriver. Another problem with the installation is that the cables are too short and you can't (or shouldn't) connect them directly to the wall wiring. If you try to connect the lamp wires directly, work 2 inches apart. As a result, I had to solder extensions to the lamp wires to make them convenient to work with. Unfortunately, most of these devices are manufactured using a similar blind installation method. A note to our friendly Chinese friends who supply us with these bright and inexpensive lamps: Please charge us a few dollars more and design an unsealed lamp with a removable lens so that it can be installed without pain and suffering.
