Ordered a 1500ft spool which arrived in perfect condition and was a full spool of wire. Installed in a new home and have been using PetSafe systems for many years. As this is for a 1.5 acre hood I went with something heavier (14ga instead of the 18ga previously used). The problem is that the wire has several breaks in the insulation - three so far, and I think there will be more upon closer inspection. . Of course, this was discovered at about 1300 feet and after most of the wire had already been laid. Don't rewind the wire and try to rewind this mess onto a spool for return; I'm too old for this nonsense. I will splice and seal but if I wanted to deal with splices I would save money and go for shorter coils. Very disappointed and now I have to re-inspect each foot of wire and seal the splices.
