Nobody in our family smokes, but some members of the extended family do smoke. They usually stick their asses in cups, which I find gross but necessary. This ashtray will come in handy. It looks more like earthenware than an ashtray. It's strong and has a certain weight so I can safely leave it outside. The lid hides the fact that it is an ashtray when not in use and prevents the ash from flying out. I definitely recommend this if you need an outdoor ashtray.
