This item is soft, and my cat can see through it. My lovely little Freya cat, who is 6 lbs, has a condition called "pica syndrome” which causes her to eat fabrics, paper towels, socks, shirts, blankets, etc. you get the idea. Anyway, while I try to hide everything from her there is no way to hide the blankets on the bed at night. It is a battle to keep her from eating the blanket. So, I had to start locking her in the laundry room every night, which just broke my heart. With her "mask” on she can stay in the bedroom, snuggle with us all night, and not eat the blanket. She wanders around the room just fine, can see to go to the cat box, and doesn’t fight or scratch at the mask at all. She did throw up in it one night, but I jumped up and got her out of it and cleaned her face. . .she had eaten a toy and I didn’t realize it. Anyway, I highly recommend this muzzle, it works well, is soft and can be adjusted with the Velcro for fit. For Freya I am using the small size. I’m going to buy a couple more to keep around to make sure I don’t wear them out.
