So I work by hand. I'm up 12-14 hours a day, every day for work. I wear thick boots when I'm outside and soft-soled sneakers when I'm inside. My legs are really throbbing and at my middle age I can't recover as quickly as I used to. I started looking for foot spa devices to relax and heal sore feet after a hard day's work. It seemed to me that Renpho met all the requirements. I'm the type of person who doesn't mind reading the owner's manual, but even without it I was able to figure out what was what by looking at the button layout. I started with warm water in the foot spa and then set the desired temp which was hotter. I could feel hot water flowing from the heating element to my toes. So the hot water worked fine. The "bubbles" weren't very strong, but they moved the water a little, not much, just a little. I really couldn't figure out how the "bubbles" would be useful for the massage other than moving enough water to help dissolve salts or disperse herbs and the like. As I mentioned, the heating element worked fine, but once it got to the temperature I set it to (there's no enter button, btw. You press the plus or minus button to get the temperature you want, then just let it in After a second, it just accepts that number as the desired temperature.), it stays warm for a while and then cools down naturally. The temperature dropped 4 degrees (my apartment is cold) when I noticed the water getting cooler. I assumed the foot bath would somehow hold the set temperature, but it doesn't. So I turned the temperature back up a degree and turned the heating element back on to heat the water. These things have worked great if you have the right foot size for them. My foot measures 9.5 inches long and 4 inches wide. Renpho comes with 3 mechanical reels. They feel great in the heel and midfoot. But since my feet were wider than the roller that was closer to my toes, the outside of my foot was constantly rubbing against the outside of the roller as it rotated. The middle part of the rollers consists of tiny wheels that spin and massage your feet. Some people don't like it, but many others (like me) like it. However, my feet would rub on the outside of the roller which was annoying and started to irritate my foot after a few minutes of non-stop rubbing. You may also hear a loud squeak, similar to the sound of a wet finger on a plastic bowl. This was going to be a long-term problem that I couldn't do anything about. After really trying it out for a few days, I decided to bring it back and opt for something else. In the end, the heating element and rollers became the stumbling blocks for this foot spa. Oh, and something to note, the instruction manual comes with a small piece of paper claiming that this company will give you a $30 Revain gift card. if you write a positive review about it. So you should keep that in mind when you read positive reviews about this model. Hope that helps!
