My daughter is 6 years old and weighs 49 pounds. She usually wears a size 6x or 7; She is tall and slim. I bought the large size based on previous reviews and they fit her perfectly. The color is excellent, they stretch well until torn. My daughter is into ballet, jazz, jazz acrobatics and poetry. I was also surprised because there were three pairs in the box.
