the darker color of the edge is literally painted over when i received the purse i thought it was dry so i started using mink oil after noticing a few times it hadn't soaked in then i noticed a scratch on the edges the dark brown color so i gave it a scratch and to my surprise it was spray paint. So I sanded down the paint and wallet with sandpaper and then soaked them in ink oil. I had to use a very cheap method to make this color of leather, the quality of the purse is ok but I didn't get the look I wanted as it's more of a light brown now. Not recommended unless you like a lighter color and don't want to sand the color.
