The item arrived with damaged packaging and I started examining the PSU and noticed a suspicious odor emanating from the PSU. I decided to test the PSU on my rig and noticed smoke coming out of my 570x crystal case and immediately unplugged everything. I noticed that one of the sp120's fan wires was completely burned from top to bottom and the fan controller smelled like burnt plastic. I waited a day for the smoke smell to completely clear my room and the PSU still smelled like burnt oil, but the rest of the parts that weren't SP120 fans didn't have a burned electronics smell, which I fixed the rest of the parts and found that my CPU died after the incident and I am currently waiting for Corsair to help me with this issue. They asked me to send all affected parts to their lab, but I live down the street. from the US and just shipping the PSU costs me $100 and I can't even imagine how much it would cost me to ship the case and processor to their lab. 1 star rating is well deserved
