Yes, I broke one of these hangers within an hour of taking it out of the box. Don't worry, that was on purpose. We didn't have room for all of these hangers so thought I'd write a full review after seeing how strong and flexible they are. I bent the bottom until it touched the top with no problem. Then the actual test - I took two corners (shoulders) and tried to connect them. They didn't quite make it before they broke, but the two halves were almost parallel when it broke. It's funny - the material isn't as flexible as the hangers I've bought at Walmart or Target and it looks like it would break a lot easier, but apparently it doesn't. These hangers have all the features you want (strength, extra corner supports, little hooks for hanging things) and none of the ones you don't have (those horrible indentations that some have). They're also made in the USA, so that makes a big difference. You won't find very many cheap plastic items. And they're sold at the same price per hanger as many foreign-made models. I would only change two things. First, crowd. These are great hangers, but who needs 60? You don't realize how many there are until you try to hang them. The only situation I could see someone needing 60 hangers is someone who is just starting out and doesn't have anything at all. If, like most people, you're just trying to replace some of the broken ones, you definitely don't need a 60. The manufacturer should make them available in variable quantities. Second, it's the color. White is fine, but having a few different colors will go a long way. Many families use the color of the hangers to organize their clothes (whose clothes are they, or the type of clothes, or something like that). If they were multi-colored, their sales would almost certainly increase. But these downsides are very minor, and I definitely knew it when I bought them. These were the cheapest hangers with no cutouts, which is why I took them. All in all it was a very good purchase and I have no hesitation in recommending it.
