Every spot on my legs that I feared would cause trouble on a long hike was taped over. After the grueling pace of Death Valley, Grand Canyon, Boundary Peak (Nevada) and Mount Whitney (California), I've never had a corneal problem. This is such a great prevention. The only negative I could say (and it's very minor) is that the tape sticks SO WELL it actually sticks to the inside of the sock as well, but since I've traveled in 117 degrees I have the tape for that forgive. In any case, the simple solution is to NOT remove your insoles until the trek is completely over. Problem solved! Ouch! And if you're late with a band-aid because you already have a blister, because you're a husband and too stubborn to listen to your wife and put a band-aid on before the hike, just put the band-aid on the blister.. .then stick the tape over the patches so they don't tear off after a few miles of marching. I love this product so much.
