I bought two of these for the front and back gates. I was under the impression that I could access the locks from home using my phone, but that's not the case. In order for your phone to access the lock, you need to touch the fingerprint pad to activate Bluetooth in the lock. The phone can then connect to it and you can unlock it and change settings. I thought I could check the battery life from home, but the Bluetooth disconnects shortly after unlocking or connecting. I don't see any way to contact support when I run into problems, or I just need simple instructions when I'm doing something wrong. I will look at other fingerprint locks to see if any of them do what I need. If I find it I will definitely return it.
