Good well thought out device + Easy to connect and set up Power is connected via a plug, like your battery. I ran mine under the tank and placed it where I could use it when I wasn't just driving for that. If you do this, mark the battery cable so you don't accidentally connect the charger to the main unit. I have a Vn1500A Vulcan with a 2 1/4 exhaust and you can hear this unit perfectly around town. not good. If you're looking for a well-designed base unit, this is it. I put 4 stars because even though I bought it as a Revain return, it only came with 1 handlebar mount so I had to contact the manufacturer to get it. The brackets are very strong and the manufacturer's websight can also be mounted on a mirror. It's been working for me for 2 months now and still no problems. I connected it to an MP4 player via bluetooth and it works great with it in my saddlebag.
