I tested the iClever IC-BK08 triple Bluetooth keyboard in a few apps on a few years old Android smartphone running on Android v. 6.0.1 Physically, the keyboard is slightly heavier (about half an ounce) than other keyboards I've used, but this gives it a solid and stable feel when in use. Triple design makes it easy to close and carry; It folds compact enough to fit in a shirt pocket or a smartphone slot in a purse. The intelligent magnetic closure automatically turns the keyboard off when closed and on when opened. The legs at each end of the keyboard can be lowered to provide a low, stable stand. The aluminum rear cover has a smooth metal finish and feel when closed. Once paired, the keyboard connected to the device immediately after turning it off. The keyboard is of course compact, so when working with a full-size keyboard I had to pay close attention to the position of my hands and fingers. While typing on the iClever keyboard, the keys are a bit laborious, but very solid and not wobbly at all. The spacebar, in particular, should be a definite press, not just a quick swipe. The key travel is noticeable. I'm good at touch typing, but like all small Bluetooth keyboards, I had to type slower and more carefully to avoid mistakes. The arrangement of the keys and their assignment is basically good. The B button is correctly positioned so that it can be tapped with the left index finger instead of the right one. Having ' , " and ? as fn shortcuts on the L, ; and ] keys takes some getting used to. Having the copy, paste and cut functions available as fn shortcuts on the 3-5 keys is handy, but the standard Ctrl+C/V/X too The touchpad with the left and right buttons on the right end of the keyboard proved extremely useful in a short test. I like to type as little as possible with my hands off the keyboard .I found that on my Android device, the touchpad-enabled mouse pointer could access the menu and make selections, eliminating the need to use the touchscreen. In some apps (but unfortunately not Evernote), you can use the touchpad to hold and drag to select text I really like this keyboard and I hope it will hold up well once I get used to it UPDATE: After a few months of use my experience remains positive, I recently bought a Note 8 with Android 7.1.1 had none e problems pairing a keyboard with it and I found that there is no w, even in Evernote I can drag with the touchpad and left button to select text (whether due to an update in Evernote or in Android). I actually had an issue where keystrokes were doubled like that. I went to the iClever support page and reported this and got a quick response with advice that worked (mostly disabling, restarting bluetooth or the whole phone and pairing again). So still a great tool and good customer support too.
