This window film served my purpose well. I needed something to keep my large windows from being completely bare but not blocking the view to either side. I put a wooden ruler along as a guide for cutting. For me, a utility knife works best. It is important to leave a small space (at least 1/4 inch) in each corner between the edge of the film and the edge of the window. This allows the water to be easily pushed out from under the foil from all sides. In any case, you leave no space on each side, making it more difficult and time consuming to properly install the liner and remove all water from under the liner.
