We bought these boots when they were on sale hoping they would fit our older child this winter. He's just starting to go up to a size 13 for a small child and they fit just like his new Skechers. Over the winter it has enough space to grow in it. Even in snow, salt and mud, the boots seem to be very durable. The base is made of hard plastic with anti-slip protection. The interior is well lined and should feel pleasantly warm while playing. We also liked the velcro they used. This is good stuff. I'll update my review when it gets cold enough to use for a couple of weeks.
