Our Electrolux canister is about 15 +/- years old; still works well but suction power seems to have dropped. I noticed that the original woven tubing broke, allowing air to be drawn through the tubing itself, so I wrapped the tubing end to end with Gorilla tape. That helped a lot, but the tape came apart and soon had to be replaced. Once the hose handle broke and I found this universal replacement hose on amazon.com. Wow! The vacuum worked like the first day because the new hose is like rubber and all the suction at the end of the hose is where it should be. Great purchase, great quality. Thanks very much!
