We originally bought this air purifier for the obvious benefits it offers in capturing airborne contaminants. We only use it at night when we sleep. Initially I could not speak higher about this product. We would set it to medium speed, which would provide the ideal level of white noise. We also noticed a noticeable reduction in congestion and overall sleep quality while running. Unfortunately, after about 8 months of use, the air purifier randomly started making an awful shaking/vibrating/rattling noise at medium speed. It's easily twice as loud as before and it's incredibly annoying. We have tried to tighten the bolts on the air cleaner body and replaced the pre-filter and HEPA filter with replacement spa OEM filters with no success. I suspect something is loose or unbalanced on the fan assembly. I would contact the company as they have a one year warranty but they would most likely tell me a) it's not covered by the limited warranty b) send it to us for $100 to see if we can fix it, or c) it works. Everything is fine and a little noise is normal. We started using the night mode, which is quiet with little to no sound. While the ideal level of white noise is gone, there is at least some air purification, which is why this machine exists. Overall, I think the purchase was definitely worth it. I just wish it had slightly better durability and build quality.
