The chair was great. My problem was how I got it. It came in a plastic bag, in a box (no packaging foam) and with a small tear in the rubber armrest that was repairable with Gorilla Glue. never mind The weirdest thing was when I pulled it out of the plastic bag I noticed that it had tiny white splinters of an unidentifiable material on it. Have you ever broken Corelle's white plate or bowl? This is what it looks like. broken glass. I haven't thought about it too much. Factories aren't exactly dust-free, are they? I shook off some of the pieces with my hands and also used a small handheld vacuum to suck up the bits stuck in the fabric. Then I noticed that my skin was starting to itch like touching fiberglass and it felt like tiny splinters were piercing me. I've found bits of it penetrating the fabric of my pants and irritating my skin. At that point, I started to worry that my pets and kids might accidentally get in the eyes of this thing, so I put it back and asked the company to return it. Fed-Ex return label sent. The Fed-Ex waitress refused to accept the package as is. Said he needed more padding because he's loose. I opened it up again and stuffed the newspapers all around. The second Fed-Ex clerk didn't even check the box, just accepted it and gave me a receipt. Again, the chair was fine. Just because I had a less exciting experience doesn't mean I'll enjoy it. I would open it up outside and test it out before using it.
